security officer was opening the gate to allow access. As myself and A/PS Miles and the EO have approached the
gate they have closed the gate preventing us acces~. I have introduced myself and asked to speak with the event

organjsers, to which a member of staff has disappeared into the venue and returned with a male who I would
describe as li.ght skinned black male, Approximate age of 35, wearing a wh.ite long sleeved t-shirt, grey bottoms. I
recognised this male as Simon Cordell. I have introduced myself and asked if we could speak at the bottom of the·
road where the noise Jevels would allow us to talk. We have aJI moved lo lhe bottom of Progress Way where I
have introduced myself and explained the purpose of the visit and asked "It's Simon isn't it?" to which he has
' replied "Yes" I have then funher asked "Simon Cordell" to which he has indicted that it was but not verbally
confirmed the answer. I have introduced the two EO's the Simon who have explained the purpose of their visit
and the fact that they were going to severe a noise abatement order, Ibey have produced the paperwork and asked

the male for his name to which he has refused to provide his details. It was explained that without the name of a
person from the venue the EO's are unable to serve the p<1perwork. As we have been unable to progress this line
of action, I have made the request to Simon Cordell to tum the music down. During the course of the 8th June we
had approximately 40 caJls complaining about the noise. During the course of the shift police had contact wjth
several groups that had been attendance at the Rave, all of which where extremely intoxicated and by their

behaviour had clearly been using drugs, which they confirmed they had used, but on police contact did not have
any drugs on them. As officers where not permitted access int.a lhe venue it is unknown the extent of drug and
alcohol abuse which may or may not have taken place within., however, a call from a member of public CAD
2410 of 8th June received at 0535hrs stated that drugs were openly being sold. In relation to any additional calls
and increase in demand as the result of this illegal event taking place, at 03 l0hrs on the 8th June PS 92YE noticed
a male from the roof of an adjourning building to the venue. The venue backs onto that of the Police parade site
which meant as officers enter and left the premises they had a full and unobstructed view of the rear of the Rave
premises, officers have attended the venue, however, the male had already come down from the roof. Staff where

given advise as to ensuring that people do not get onto th 'CCfofagain. At 0504hrs CAD 2290 8th June police were
called lo a male assaulted in the streel. Officers a AS have attended the location of WoodGrange Avenue
where the male had injuries of suspected brok.e bloody mouth, he initially stated that he bad been
attacked from behind but on investigation it r j is , ale had been one of the people seen on the roor
earlier and had faUen wh.ilst getting down.
